NRLs client based in Humber Refinery is looking to recruit Shift Emergency Response Specialist working 12 hour shifts, on an initial 12 month contract. About the role: Provide 24hr safety advice and training on shift and days. Provide emergency response to plant emergencies. Advise key shift personnel on how to meet their health and safety responsibilities. Investigates all accidents and incidents. Carries out initial scoring of dangerous occurrences and ensures immediate corrective action is taken. Assist and stands in for Shift Emergency Response Team Supervisor as required. To work time owed to company in Refinery Shutdown periods. Attends shift meetings where required and presents Impact reports as directed by the shift manager. Is a role model for safety. Keeps abreast of company health and safety policies, standards and procedures. Advise key shift personnel SS, OL and FL on how to meet their health and safety responsibilities. Pro ides direct functional and technical health and safety support to shift personnel including the development of remedial actions to present immediate danger. Advisors Meetings, And CSAT, CSIT meetings. Assists in monitoring the effective implementation of safety policies, standards and procedures and reporting deviations. Assist in identifying all health and safety hazards through auditing and monitoring of the work place and participation in risk management process. Carries out initial scoring of IMPACTS and ensures immediate corrective actions have been taken. Undertakes and coordinates incident and accident investigation and the development of actions to prevent recurrence. Actively monitors the permit to work process and reports deviations to shift supervisor and PTW coordinator. Undertakes daily workplace audits as per schedule, to include Fire Prevention, Safety. Undertake unit audits, welding on live equipment and Plot Tap inspections in conjunction with Safety Advisor. Carries out health and safety training as required. Coordinates shift safety meetings. Is part of Refinery Emergency Response Team. Deputises for Shift Emergency Response Team Supervisor. Available for SIP call out when available Will understand and implement as required the security responsibilities for high consequential goods. What you will need: Qualified Firefighter HGC driver. Full working knowledge of major fire appliances at joint fire station. Fire Prevention Course. Qualified B/A training and maintenance instructor. Attended Phillips 66(USA) fire school.
