Job Title - Contracts Engineer
Work Location - Jizan, Saudi Arabia
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Contracts Manager and working directly with either one of the construction or other sub-contractors or the Client
Responsibilities include
Day to day management and control of the sub contracts assigned which may include construction, engineering and service agreements managed from site. These may be fixed price, re-measured or reimbursable contracts.
Continuous cost control and reporting of cost of these contracts to the Contract Manager and the relevant project Engineer. Developing and writing contract reports in conjunction with the Site Cost Engineers.
The identification, cost control and management of changes and variation either as a result of design changes from EPC, Client changes or contractor changes
Identification, cost control and management of errors and omissions and for the pursuit of back-charges on suppliers and contractors in conjunction with the Site Sub Contracts Manager
Identification, cost control and support to the Contracts Manager, the Site Project Manager or project engineer and Business Manager of claims against the Client or the Clients EPCs.
Interfacing with the Site Sub Contracts Manager and relevant project Engineer in the management of cost and schedule change within the agreed authority defined for the project
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Middle East project experience, specifically experience of contract letting and negotiation to closure of Construction and Engineering contracts in the Middle East
Experience of working on camp based construction sites in remote Middle East locations
