Job Title: HVAC Engineer

Minimum Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Fluent in English - Verbal and Written
10 years plus experience in HVAC systems for offshore Oil and Gas Upstream facilities preferably in Design offices and/or in Operating Companies.
Conversant with P&IDs, should be able to identify HVAC sub-systems
Conversant with HVAC Flow Diagram, should be able to reconcile air flow rates with HVAC cooling capacity calculation
Conversant with room internal over-pressure concept
Familiar with various HVAC systems, i.e. ACCU, SWCCU, water chillers, etc.
Conversant with functionality/design criteria of following HVAC sub-systems:
Air Condenser / SW condenser
Should also have basic knowledge of instrumentation components used in HVAC
Familiar with international HVAC standards
Basic knowledge of piping and/or material metallurgy selection, especially for Seawater system
In addition for the condensing unit skid retrofit projects the candidate should have some experience in such retrofit where temporary / back-up system needs to be deployed to enable replacement of the skid (this will be part of the constructability study)
Good sense of team spirit leadership, strong interpersonal & soft communication skills.
Medically fit and able to undertake offshore surveys.
Experience in the use of relevant software (Microsoft Word, Excel and Access).
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Carry out studies from pre-project to Detailed & Installation Engineering by supervising Engineering contractors.
Liaise as required with Client's shareholders Technical Authorities and committees, Production & Procurement department.
Be the discipline Technical Authority for HVAC related issues within Client's organization
Define, specify and carry out necessary technical studies in order to propose robust and optimized technical solutions.
Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, budgets, and technical dossiers for Call For Tender (CFT) packages for HVAC related activities.
Plan and organize the supervision of the offshore work to ensure technical compliance of the contractors with the Contract/Frame Agreement.
Lead the technical review of the bidders' proposals and prepare technical recommendations accordingly.
Review and comment on Vendors deliverables, interpret facilities engineering drawings, designs and make necessary recommendations.
Follow-up Purchase Orders of HVAC equipment to ensure timely approval, conformity of design and participate in technical reviews and FAT with Vendors.
Interact with Piping and Instrument disciplines mainly and interface with Procurement Dept.
Plan and conduct KOM with contractors, JRA/work permits meetings in liaison with Field Operations (FO) entity.
Coordinate with FO entity for the integration of new electrical and instrumentation material in existing facilities and provide trouble shooting expertise in case of deficiencies of existing equipment
