General Description

For subcontract values up to Є 5.0 million, executes the activities independently; for more complex and higher value subcontracts assist in execution of following tasks:

· Perform the subcontracting process according approved project procedures.

· Train (or assist in the training of) junior subcontracts personnel.

· Review with- and obtain from Legal, Insurance, Tax and other applicable departments all the appropriate conditions to be inserted in subcontracts, change orders, amendments, etc.

· Develop individual Subcontract Plans (assigned subcontracts), with the Subcontracts Manager based on the prime contract structure, availability of subcontractors in the adjacent area and other project conditions

· Prepare (for subcontracts as assigned) the bidders list, inquiry documents, evaluate proposals, issue subcontractors selection recommendations, assist in the negotiations for subcontract awards, prepare subcontracts and change order documents, assist in the coordination of subcontractors activities between Company, Client (where so applicable) and other subcontractors, assist subcontractor in solving any potential problem, document all subcontracting activities and problems for claim control.

· Maintain auditable files for all assigned subcontracts, in accordance with the relevant subcontracts procedures.

· Ensures security of pricing information.

· Review of received subcontractor related correspondence.

· Review subcontractors’ invoices and billings for payment.

· Assist in the coordination of the acceptance of subcontractor’s work.

· Maintain status and cost reports of all assigned subcontracts, including problem and action items

· Monitor subcontract progress to facilitate early identification and resolution of potential problems, changes, back charges, disputes & claims, and ensure the implementation of the most appropriate remedial actions

· Assist in the negotiation of claims and close-out of Subcontracts.

· Assist in obtaining input and the preparation for measurement of subcontractors’ performance evaluation.

· Assist Business Development and Proposals/Project Managers in the preparation of proposals.

· Identify and advise management of risks inherent in proposals and subcontracts.

· Participate in the Subcontracts Department Quality Improvement Efforts.

· Show flexibility with regard to:

· The re-assignment to other projects.

· The replacement (be self sufficient & directly perform) of subcontract engineers or assistants during illness and/or holidays.

· The provision of assistance to colleagues from the Subcontract Department with heavy workload (also on other projects), when possible/desirable.

· The managing/learning of current working methods and software applications.
