Responsibilites will include:
Support the company's internal and external communication requirements through writing and editing a wide range of communications materials
Support (and deputise for) the function manager in providing a dynamic, fit-for-purpose communications service in an emergency response and reputation management context
Proactively identify and champion opportunities for new communications channels
Develop and implement communications plans for projects, issues and announcements, regularly assessing their effectiveness and updating them as necessary
Create content for the company's digital communication platforms including the company intranet and public website
Assist in coordination of employee events including Town Halls, webcasts, leaders' meetings and employee events
Develop and maintain an understanding of new and ongoing initiatives within the company to influence proactive communications.
Provide direct guidance and support to a range of internal stakeholders on the formulation of communication materials and engagement opportunities, in keeping with the priorities of the business

Degree/diploma or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations or related field and/or demonstrable practical experience of working in a communications capacity
Membership of an appropriate professional body
Basic offshore accreditations (BOSIET; MIST; Medical) would be advantageous

Skills & Experience
First-class written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into simple, understandable messages
Experience of dealing with the media including in crisis scenarios
Strong client consulting, project management and communication planning skills.
Understanding of how to best leverage multiple platforms to meet business objectives and audience needs.
Demonstrable experience of direct delivery with one or more communications platforms (eg DTP; graphic design packages; video editing; etc) would be advantageous
Comfortable working at both strategic and tactical communications levels.
Familiarity with public affairs; able to demonstrate an understanding of the political landscape and the ways in which it influences the oil & gas industry
